Hi? my name is Duncan Kiplangat, a Mechanical Engineer currently pursuing a Diploma in Technical Trainer Education (Mechanical Engineering – Production) at the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET). I have a strong background in mechanical systems, production technologies, and workshop operations.
My passion lies in teaching and empowering others through competency-based training in the TVET sector. I believe that hands-on, practical learning is key to transforming technical education and creating job-ready graduates.
As part of my training at KSTVET, I am focused on sharpening my instructional skills in the following areas:
Training Methodologies: Developing effective and learner-centered delivery strategies
Education Technology: Integrating digital tools to enhance classroom and workshop instruction through Flexible and blended Learning using Moodle and other E-learning resources
Workshop Planning: Organizing safe, efficient, and resource-optimized training environments
This course is helping me grow both as an educator and a technician, equipping me to better contribute to Kenya’s technical training ecosystem.
I look forward to becoming a competent and impactful technical trainer who not only imparts knowledge but inspires innovation and problem-solving in the next generation of engineers.
